Here I am. Sitting at my desk. Preparing to knock out a deadline based client project on a Saturday afternoon. The deal is, I need to create this email design today so that there’s time for it to be reviewed, edited, approved, blasted and tracked by Tuesday of next week, when I take off for a beach vacation.

I’ve been sick for the last five days. Otherwise, this would certainly be done within my usual 9-5 gig. But alas, I am trying to prove myself and stay the course with this major time sensitive client sales promotion. I’m writing this, stalling a little.

I just came from escorting my toddler son to a classmate’s birthday party. There was a giant water slide, playground, pizza, cupcakes and friends. Not to mention the gorgeous, not-too-hot sunshine.

It is SO HARD to commit to doing computer stuff right now. If it’s any testament to the effort I try to give and the balance I must achieve… I’m fitting it all in on this Saturday.
